I used Elmer FEM software to visualize the mechanical stress in a PCB that is mounted on an aluminum heat sink. The material stress is caused by the different thermal expansion coefficients. This is why we should not place ceramic capacitors close to mounting holes 😬

I´ve finished the trackpad mechanical draft. I added two flex coils (inspired by Carl Bugeja 😄) for potential haptic feedback in the future. I´ve simulated the magnetic field using Elmer FEM software. Next step is to calculate the forces and couple these results into a elasticity solver
