By studying brain tissue samples we have been able to establish a potential link between SUDEP and a depression of the central respiratory system following a seizure, and a link between serotonin pathways and the risk of SUDEP.

Annie has focal impaired awareness seizures, and loses the ability to talk during a seizure. Having Winnie there to act as her communicator helps her to feel safe, because having Winnie there can make it easier for members of the public to know what is going on. 💜
