April updates made t stevenagebirdhistory.co.uk for: Egyptian Goose, Shelduck, Shoveler, Gadwall, Grey Partridge, Little Grebe, Oystercatcher, Ringed Plover, Common Sandpiper, Sandwich Tern, Arctic Tern, Hobby, Peregrine, Raven, Sedge Warbler, Reed & Corn Bunting

A fantastic April at the park with 14 species added to the year list now up to 86. This incl. several park scarcities : Shelduck (12th), Sandwich Tern (16-17th), Ringed Plover (22nd), Arctic Tern (23rd).

And May has started well with a Yellow Wagtail!

An excellent find by Andy Day and only my second SANDWICH TERN ever at Fairlands Valley Park in Stevenage. Performed admirably from late morning until at least 3pm Herts Bird News

Sandwich Tern still present until 8pm at least when it settled on the jetty in front of cafe. It was doing circuits of the lake 7pm- 8pm regularly diving to feed #hertsbirds
