Hi folks, A close family member of mine was subject to a pretty grim attack in Coventry on Sunday @ around 8pm - if anyone has any details or saw anything please do get in touch with the police.

She is trans and police are investigating as a hate crime so any help appreciated

Really great to attend and speak at the APPG on Adult Social Care report launch this afternoon in parliament. It was standing room only with a range of politicians dropping in and out throughout, meeting with members of the lived experience advisory group who steer the APPG's working group. 1/13

We need everyone with a stake in social care to speak up at the next election and make their voices heard. We need vision and action from our politicians to invest in the infrastructure that enables people to draw on the care and support they need, where they need it.

What do you think about free parking when providing care? MPs are seriously considering a call for Green Badge parking from Engage Britain

'I think people will remember your Party promising to fix social care with national insurance, then not fixing care and taking away what was going to fix it'.

@AndrewMarr9 reminds Economic Secretary to the Treasury Bim Afolami of the failure of his 2010 social care speech.

Delighted to be representing National Care Forum at Stronger Together’s event “from intent to action: addressing exploitation of care workers.”

Vital that we work together to root out exploitation when it rears its head in social care & take preventative action to stop it from happening again.

I’m walking 100km in March for Sands - baby loss charity 💙🧡 - they provided me with a lifeline of support when my daughter died shortly after she was born. I will never forget their help. Thank you for any sponsorship you can provide 💚💚💚 fundraising.sands.org.uk/s/11516/11574/t

Post lunch, it’s time for the brilliant Jo Cameron to talk us through the system level (ICS) point of view on delegation.

“We need to focus on the rehumanisation of the system - it’s so process driven at the moment”

Really powerful points from Michelle Tenant on challenging aspects of delegation for ASC providers.

- NHS colleagues’ reluctance to offer training and competency assessments
- lack of awareness of delegation processes
- funding rate for activities too low
