I've had an email today today from a guy who says his mortgage rate has gone up from 4.7% to 10.5% due to flood risk!! I've done a bit of digging & it's new but there are other cases. This has the potential to be harmful to so many people.
Anyone else had the same?

A #flood is a #flood to not offer a grant because the numbers don't stack up is just plain wrong and very discriminatory!

Y'day Emma Hardy MP pointed to suboptimal way flood recovery & resilience grants are operated. With weather no respecter of local authority boundaries it's a bureaucratic postcode lottery.

Dredging isn't always the solution to reduce flood risk ( though it can help in some areas.)
There is no one sticking plaster to stop flooding, it's a bit like a jigsaw of many pieces working together to reduce the risk!

I'm looking forward to presenting at this online event this afternoon.
I've talked to so many people who have been #Flooded during the brutal named storms & they are all still out of their homes.

This event was crazily busy! People arrived almost an hour before we officially opened. We were full of people all day who had all #Flooded during #stormbabet & some again during #stormhenk many upset people but all keen to make homes flood recoverable #PFR
