Laury Haytayan reminds us that in Med, context matters & there are economic needs & investment needs that the EU should consider. RES attractiveness is enhanced when investment precedes (JETPs). Otherwise gas brings political leverage and income for countries in the region.

On to climate change as a threat multiplier in the Med region, for citizens and for companies: EWE & slow onslaught events and transition risks must be addressed.
Energy is the only common denominator for the region but enablers are needed (physical, political & geopol security)
