The problem is that trust is a diminishing asset. Folks have ears, and memories, and can remember that Abiy also publicly promised he had no intention of harming Tigray.

Did authorities really think that govt would rescue their people that they had been trying to exterminate in a genocidal frenzy? And with whom they signed a faulty so-called peace agreement. How dangerously naieve or self-deluded.

Hiding famine and food aid corruption.
Up to 15% of Ethiopia is currently highly food insecure because of war, deliberate destruction of livelihoods or mismanagement and corruption of food resources by the Ethiopian government.

A lot of converging information makes sure that a famine has started mainly in Tigray and in the North-East Amhara, and that it can only worsen in the coming months, to a level which could recall the famine of 1984- 85. 1/2

The “Prosperity Famine” or what could be accurately described as “Abiy Famine” in Ethiopia particularly Tigray is an exception because it is intentionally planned and executed by the government from beginning to end. The desperate pleas to avert the imminent starvation were

Though there has always been double standards, the fragility and duplicity of Antonio Guterres exceeds all bounds. Good for Gaza but invoking Art. 99 should have been applied to Tigray, the largest humanitarian disaster and largest war, a fact he continues to brazenly deny.United Nations

We urged you to invoke Article 99 on , but our pleas fall on deaf ears. The livelihoods of millions of Tigrayans have been intentionally and systematically destroyed and humanitarian aid blocked under your watch.
This is the worst form of political expediency by Guterres.

It’s been a year since the Cessation of Hostilities in , yet troops are still in where they have committed crimes against humanity.

Time's up - the U.S. should directly sanction Eritrea’s dictator Isaias Afwerki.

They don't even have Tigray on this plot. Why is such an erasure necessary after 1M people died in 2 years on and are still dying, in the deadliest war of the 21st century and one of the longest sieges ever recorded in history?

That's why we must revise the Genocide Convention- not easy. The point is that the current Convention has totally failed to prevent any genocides since its 1948 invention, and only brought accountability rarely - and only when geopolitics allowed access to justice
