Off-grid cafe Greyhope Bay at Torry Battery, Aberdeen. Two converted 40 foot shipping containers, powered by roof-mounted solar panels. Rain water harvested and converted on site to drinking water standards by UV and ozone sanitisation ☕️🥮👍

Went wandering around the Port today, and walked out to Greyhope Bay on the recommendation of John Patrick Butler.

It was well worth the walk. This is just one of the sights I got to see.

As if today couldn’t get any better/more bizarre, here’s some excited, hand held, heat hazy footage of the 20 or so pilot whales that appeared off Girdle Ness this lunchtime.

🐦🐦‍⬛🐦61 bird species spotted so far! Mark Lewis (he/him) has been doing his BIG SIT since 5am this morning at the Greyhope Bay Centre. Mark will share his full results at our next summer night this Thursday (3rd Aug) evening. We're open 5pm - 8pm with coffee/tea and ice cream 🍨

Today at Greyhope Bay , I saw my first ever Comma (butterfly). Also saw a Burnet moth, but both were too quick for any snaps to be taken! There were some willing participants, though.
