#SPSP2024 I'm co-chairing a symposium with Anabel Büchner on goal conflicts, featuring work from us, Jiabi Wang, & Hengchen Dai. We used diverse methods (experimental, psychometric, longitudinal, machine learning, cross-cultural, etc.) to study goal conflicts in various contexts.

Motivation to Begin or an Excuse to Slack Off?
In a recent study, Professor Hengchen Dai & fellow researchers find that, for a goal we’re already working on, that new week or month looming ahead may encourage us to slack off.
