Dr Gail Aldwin Is it possible to produce writing that doesn't have something to say, especially about the human condition (even if it's only ones own)? And isn't that interpretation in the reader not the writer?
As to genre, is it not an industry construct and irrelevant to creative process?

Jonny Geller's weekend thread has really got me thinking. Is writing my vocation? It may have been when I felt my novels were a vehicle to say some important things and influence change. Now I'm writing genre fiction, is that still true? What's your view?

Saw a fitness coach today wearing T-shirt with the slogan “It’s a denture”. Puzzling.

Upon closer inspection it’s the creases of the T-shirt. It should’ve been “It’s an adventure”.
