The Vancouver Police Department has added another $450,000 to its budget.

The BC Coroners Service says 192 British Columbians lost their lives due to toxic drugs in March. The report notes the rate of death among women is climbing year over year: 23 deaths per 100,000 in 2024, compared with 20.6 deaths per 100,000 for all of 2023.
