At the cultural center, the main hub for the Chicago Architecture Biennial, we have chosen to not display scenes of police violence against a black man in the context of an exhibition.
In its place is an essay from Jamie Kalven about the necessity of looking & the difficulty of showing.
Chicago Police lied by claiming all #HarithAugustus footage had been released. The only available defense against this charge would be a claim of gross incompetence.

After the #HarithAugustus shooting, CPD claimed they released all footage within 24 hours. We now know that the dashcam video of Officer Halley firing at Augustus was not among them.
