Apple has already missed the LLMs/GenAI wave, they should focus on SLMs that can run on local device, processing local data (Apple hardware has an edge), protect user privacy, and embrace local agent.

They could become the absolute leader on decentralised/localised AI.

For new students getting into AI, if you want to join big tech, get good comps, focus on LLMs.

If you want to change the world, add neuroscience minor and think/design fundamentally differently to create less data/energy hungry, more efficient approach to machine intelligence
