Using wood from replaced groynes in Bournemouth, a collaborative team effort has led to repurposing them on an Isle of Wight seawall.
Since a breach in the wall at Ventnor we have been working on reinstating the coastal defences there.

The scheme covers 240m of coastline, protecting 226 properties

Recent storms led to shingle collecting in the channel to #RyeHarbour posing a threat to shipping.

Our contractors Mackley dug out around 4000 tonnes of shingle – weighing more than 500 adult male African elephants!

The shingle to be recirculated on Pett Beach.
