A fantastic choice. This is one of the most important papers in development economics of the past two decades (and also important for ALL economists and policy makers to read).

Rarely do I find a book so engaging that I defer some of my paper revisions to read it. Having still only read about 35% of this classic on state capacity and governance by Karthik Muralidharan, I was trying to make a bucket list of who all this is a must read for. The list is too long!
