Cracking #NetGenPlen as a Beaumont fan it was great to see the way Emily MacLeod, PhD interwove Shax & Beaumont. Whereas Shax contemporaries are often informing contexts for the main Shakespearean event here Shax was a context & The Knight of the Burning Pestle was the payoff

My #shax2023 was so full that I did not manage to make it to the book display until today--but I'm so happy that Cornell University Press was at Shakespeare Association of America this year, and thrilled to think of Unfixable Forms in such good company! (Available for 40% off + free shipping with code 09EXP40!)
It means the world to receive the SAA First Book Award; Shakespeare Association of America has been such an important intellectual home and community over the years and I am immensely grateful and humbled

Excellent panel on Staging Citizenship: Early Modern Disability Histories Shakespeare Association of America #Shax2023 Cogent and incisive papers that worked brilliantly together. @penelope_hg Genevieve Love and Dr. Katherine Schaap Williams
I hate Falstaff for the abuse of the press (and how his behavior gets winked at by critics) but Dr. Katherine Schaap Williams’s discussion of disability in history plays is now giving me disturbing thoughts about Falstaff’s abuse as a eugenics behavior as he chooses who gets “peppered” #Shax2023
Visited Dr. Nedda Mehdizadeh, PhD 🌸 ندا مهديزاده and my book in the book exhibit at #shax2023 . #ShakeRace It’s sold out here, but you can always get it free and open access here: cambridge.org/core/elements/…
