When asked in Abu Dhabi last year whether he would be ready for a #F1 call-up in 2025, Bearman said: 'I know I'd be ready to go. I know I have what it takes, but of course preparation would be important. I have no doubt that if I get a call-up, I'm ready to go.' So far, so good.

Ferrari say Sainz is out of surgery. 'Everything went well and he is now resting at the hospital. We send him our full support for a quick recovery.' #F1

Audi have decided to significantly up their investment in F1, the board voting to complete a full takeover of Sauber Group. Seidl will become Audi F1 Team CEO - and the face of the operation, as planned. Audi will enter their own PU in 2026. #F1

Carlos Sainz has been diagnosed with appendicitis and will require surgery.

As from FP3 and for the rest of this weekend, he will be replaced by reserve driver Oliver Bearman. Oliver will therefore take no further part in this round of the F2 Championship.
