The on-again-off-again two majority Black congressional districts in Louisiana are on again for the coming election in 2024. Yesterday, they were upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court. But it’s not over. Opponents of Voting Rights Act Section 2 will fight another day. #VOTE LWV of Georgia

A new bill to make it illegal for people who are not U.S. citizens to vote in federal elections is a chimera. Why? Because it is already illegal for noncitizens to vote in federal elections. Further, there is no proof that it is happening. Merely hunches. Stop voter suppression.

One out of three women of childbearing age live in states with abortion bans. Child rape victims are forced to give birth. Miscarry patients are turned away from ER’s & told to return when they’re in sepsis. Women are not second-class citizens. This is a fight for our freedom.

Our League schedules Voter Registration several times a year at three public high schools. For students who will be 18 by November 5, we use both in-person events and QR Codes to get students signed up. Hey, they’re smart kids! We are well rewarded for our efforts. #VoteReady
