Very pleased to see this work on the genomic epidemiology of syphilis in Australia finally published. A massive thank you to all the authors - especially our joint first authors George Taiaroa Shivani Pasricha and Sophie Herman, and Prof Deb Williamson.

Syphilis has not been left to the history books, but is making a come-back. @monalisa_taouk illustrates, there are a number of lineages and sublineages circulating in Australia following direct sequencing from clinical samples #MicroSeq2021
