This is inaccurate, the Royal Air Force actually had greater lift capacity last year than it does today. In June last year, 15 C-130J transport aircraft were withdrawn from service, leaving the RAF with eight C-17A Globemaster and 22 Airbus A400M Atlas transport aircraft.
