My publisher has agreed to include a map in the paperback version of Mother-Daughter Murder Night, and my close friend & beta reader Beck Tench is hopefully going to draw it. Any fav references to share w us? 😊

What an honor to see Mother-Daughter Murder Night as a 'best debut' nominee among some of my favorite crime novels of 2023. My goal is to at least read all the debuts and best novel nominees before Left Coast Crime in April. Who's with me?

This is cool to see. 18 mysteries that are being translated into Spanish for publication in 2024. A few things I notice:
- some titles (including mine!) got changed.
- some covers have the same art as in the US, some different.
- many have a new tagline added to the cover.

What was your favorite purchase under $200 this year? Something you use often with gratitude and incredulity that you didn't have it before?
For me, it's a pair of Uggs. So cozy. So warm. My feet hugged by clouds. Turns out those blonde girls in high school were onto something.

Cyclist parents: Q for you. My 10-yr-old bikes 2mi to school alone every day. We've built up to this for years, & I feel confident she is quite safe. BUT, often, adults at school tell her 'that's so dangerous.' It freaks her out & infuriates me. How would you address this?

The only thing better than random phone calls from your best friend are random phone calls where you pick up and say, 'I love you but I'm writing right now' and you lock in a time to talk tomorrow.
