In the first team championship of the spring sports season it was Forsyth/Cascades holding off Edward Reynolds West Side 43-29 in the MPL Girls Basketball Championship on Wednesday evening in Queens.

Monday had Bathgate take on Marie Curie in a Bronx 1A flag football contest that had first place on the line. Both teams proved to be tough on defense with Bathgate ultimately breaking through for a 6-0 victory.

Saturday had over 100 PSAL tennis players take part in the PSAL LIVEBALL Showcase at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center

LIVEBALL is a King of the Court style mini-match in doubles format with the PSAL’s tennis stars on hand excited to take part in this opportunity.

The PSAL alongside of the NYC Parks Department hosted LAX Fest on Saturday at Cunningham Park in Queens. It was a great day for youth to continue learning the game through clinics, while there were three PSAL games making it a fantastic day of lacrosse action! #psal #laxfest

It was a great Thursday morning for some lacrosse as Curtis hosted New Dorp in a Staten Island boys matchup. It took 3 OT’s to decide a winner but it was ultimately the home team that came out on top with the Warriors pulling out the 6-5 victory.

Tuesday was the Day of Weights, one of the marquee events on the track & field schedule, and it was attended by some of the top PSAL athletes showcasing their skills and talents at Icahn Stadium.

We kept our promise of revitalizing this community space.

Phase two of this massive project will bring an additional new turf field that will include new bleachers.

Thursday at Academy for Careers in TV and Film H.S. had not just a pair of volleyball matches, but the PSAL would receive a $50,000 grant from First Point Volleyball Foundation in between the two contests to help benefit the continued growth of PSAL boys and girls volleyball.

In a girls wrestling meet on Wednesday it was Seward Park playing host to Curtis.

Both teams brought their best to the mat with it being a great evening of wrestling from all.

Saturday is for Stunt as Metropolitan Campus, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, and Lehman each showed which stunt is becoming a must watch sport in the PSAL!

Tuesday had Jamaica, Hillcrest, John Bowne, and Queens H.S. of Teaching tee it up at Clearview Golf Course in what was a great afternoon of PSAL golf.

Our Gatorade Girls Flag Player of the Week is Jaelyn Chin from Francis Lewis High School. In the Patriots' win over John Adams, Chin had over 100 passing yds and 45 yds rushing. She threw for 3 TDs and ran for 1 to seal the game 24-6 🏈

Moe Ahmed of Cardozo proved to be best on Sunday with his championship match victory over Jason Eng of William Bryant.
