Gary and the whole groundstaff team Edgbaston Stadium put in an incredible effort.

Without them: players don’t get to play. And we spectators don’t get to watch.

It doesn’t go unnoticed or unappreciated.

RIP Derek Underwood. A great,unique bowler. Slow to medium cutter of the ball but also flight & guile when the conditions demanded. Massive help to me in 1981,when I wrote The Spinner’s Turn,a lament for the decline of spin bowling. Relaxed & friendly off the field,a tiger on it.
