Bears Fanatic Gary Barwell 100% agree with that.
I was there all 8 days.
Gary and the whole groundstaff team Edgbaston Stadium put in an incredible effort.
Without them: players don’t get to play. And we spectators don’t get to watch.
It doesn’t go unnoticed or unappreciated.
Huge appreciation to Gary Barwell and his team at Edgbaston.
Insanely wet winter and spring, high winds, overnight showers, and still got 8 out of 8 days cricket in the first 2 rounds.
Serious effort.
When will this A Salty Dog nightmare end ? Looking today as if the 8th flooding since Oct is imminent. Heart goes out to the groundstaff at New Road.
Back on BBC Radio WM & BBC CWR from 10 with some great music and stories.
Including a fabulous chat with BBC News Midlands legend Nick Owen 📺 Who talks to me about the brilliant upcoming ‘Behind the Mic’ show with Pat Murphy & Jim Rosenthal @ Palace Theatre, Redditch

Astonished they got in a full morning’s play Warwickshire CCC 🏏 after so much rain since the autumn. Take a bow Gary Barwell and your resilient staff. Brilliant effort. How many hours’ kip are you lot owed??!

I reckon the rise & rise of Ipswich Town is one of the best stories of the season. Expected by many to fade after a great start, experienced a few glitches over Xmas/New Year, but they are, top of the table. Back-to-back promotions beckon to the top tier for 1st time since Ramsey
Well said,Stan. Gordon Cowans remains the absolute favourite player of so many Aston Villa fans of my acquaintance- for his decency as much as his playing eminence. Understated, modest, secure in himself as a player, always approachable. A gentleman.
We’re back - not necessarily by public demand, but Worcester News thought our gig at Huntingdon Hall was up to snuff…’Fascinating insight into the work of a broadcaster…We were captivated by the tales & tribulations of 3 men who have seen & done it all’ Palace Theatre, Redditch
