A true friend never abandons you, even when you make mistakes. They correct you, perhaps scold you, but they forgive you and do not leave you. In the (Jn 15:9-17), Jesus tells us that this is exactly what we are to Him: friends.

52% of SF supporters want checkpoints at the border…… yes you read that correctly. 🤷🏻‍♂️

This really is a ‘Through the looking glass’ moment.

Popularism will be in full flow. Can’t wait to see the EU election manifesto.

This lovely boy wasn't murdered for lack of legislation. Making life impossible for predators who carry knives is a lot more complicated than glib soundbites. But it must include resourcing police to enforce existing laws & bypassing a rights industry obsessed with hobbling them.

Honestly depends on the politician -- I had bosses in politics who I tweeted for 'as them' and bosses who only tweeted themselves and I never tweeted for. Highly unlikely that tweet would have gone out without Wes Streeting's personal approval.

I know people will pre-judge Peter due to him being on Talk but he genuinely is a very insightful and balanced person for any politics discussion. Completely agree with him on this RE local elections.

Hi Jamie. In council elections, a few votes can make a big difference — sometimes the councillor is well known locally, has campaigned on a particularly high-profile local issue and, yes, sometimes it’s just a protest vote against the bigger, established parties. All depends.

They definitely require a health warning when people extrapolate, but at the same time they are actual votes, whereas opinion polls are just, well, educated guesses.

Good to see Peter Cardwell respectfully but robustly challenging the MPs from all the various parties that he's had on his Talk programme this afternoon.
Give his shows on a try.
You may not always agree with him but you'll see that he's all about disagreeing agreeably.

Conservative MP James Sunderland claims “it is far too early” to accept a defeat for the Tories at the general election.

“Colleagues are saying to me that when they’ve been knocking at doors, it doesn’t seem as bad as the polls make out.”
