After a 3 1/2 hour rain delay, much of it after the rain stopped, this game has been called. The Royals have defeated the Blue Jays 2-1.

The groundskeepers are back on the field. It looks like the tarp is about to be taken off the field here at Kauffman Stadium.

The Royals groundskeepers started rolling out the tarp when they were stopped by the umpires. Apparently, Blue Jays manager John Schneider asked the umps to let them keep playing and he got his wish.
