APA President Australian Physiotherapy Association Thanks Scott
Hi AMA President and followers/members
Education and exercise programs are cost-effective and can reduce the burden on wait times for surgery by taking people off lists who don't need to be there.

APA President Australian Physiotherapy Association AMA President Biggest barrier = funding for access (private) or health services to offer (public)
Mark Butler MP + team, the key is not just throw money at the problem, but to tackle from all angles.
Happy to chat about early results from this MRFF funded work: latrobe.edu.au/news/announcem…
Alternate approaches would be to fund high value non operative models of care to reduce waiting lists.
Have #physios funded in urgent care clinics would reduce waiting times in emergency departments.
Now these are examples of true health reform - solutions based. Australian Physiotherapy Association
We have alternate models of care that can prevent these waiting lists if funding enabled them. Like non operative pathways for #OA is a start and can improve outcomes. That is true health reform! Australian Physiotherapy Association Christian Barton

We can’t keep funding and doing the same thing and expect a better outcome. If we want better outcomes for all Tasmanians, then we need to look at better models of care that are high value. That’s #physio and the economic value can be realized with system reforms. Australian Physiotherapy Association
An absolute pleasure to kick off the APTA practice leaders summit. The room is filled with energy and amazing people to ensure the sustainability of our great profession. Australian Physiotherapy Association
We need a national policy to reduce the burden from #falls in Australia, with collaboration across sectors to prevent falls in older adults, this paper suggests:

It’s great engagement with another like minded #physio organization of American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) that has been built over many years. It was my pleasure to discuss our strategy and output for the consumer in Australia. Australian Physiotherapy Association
Can’t wait to be part of this great event Justin Moore and American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Australian Physiotherapy Association
Evidence doesn’t support spinal cord stimulators for chronic back pain – and they could cause harm 🙅
