Big thanks to my youngest, Charles Stone for helping us to get ready to hit the New Year running with Mixed Reality-ready scenarios derived from the Defence Medical Services BATLS training documentation, ready for our experimental programme! Now have scenarios for land, sea and air!

A successful progress review with our Defence Medical Services/Royal Centre for Defence Medicine sponsor, Group Capt Di Lamb today, showing three of the new scenarios in our Mixed Reality training enclosure (A400M, ship's engine room and Royal Marines landing craft (LCAC)).

Gone but not forgotten - the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre a year ago, carrying out 3D scans and 360 images for future STEM activities by the fabulous Centre volunteers. Sadly, not to be and a narrow-minded certain county council forced the guys off the Newquay Airfield 😡

A lovely piece in yesterday's Western Morning News by one of my childhood heroes, Judi Spiers. Judi used to be a TV presenter on Westward TV, where, amongst other things, she would present a birthday card read-out session with the magical Gus Honeybun!!

At Yelverton Care Home yesterday with VR headsets/screens to let the residents try out things they might not otherwise be able to do. My September flight with Spitfires.com was popular, as was the daytime Dartmouth Steam Railway trip! Just magical to see them engage!

Not the best morning to do experiments at the site of Lammana Chapel overlooking Looe Island, but we just had to try out some Augmented Reality with a basic 3D model, with the aim of building a more detailed one if the AR trial worked, which it did ... kind of!! Cornwall Heritage Trust 〓〓

Another nice article on our 'Healthcare from Heritage' work with heritage railways, this time in this month's Trackside Magazine. A good number of hospice and care home visits on the cards and we have the year's big 360 train journey recording exercise coming up very soon!

Today, we took the 360 video of my recent Spitfire flight (courtesy of our friends at Spitfires.com) on VR headsets to Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre and it stole the show!! The pleasure on the patients' faces, not to mention their awesome comments, were incredible to witness!

Fabulous meeting with stephen johnson's Steve Johnson in Plymouth today. A fellow passionate heritage enthusiast (and a similar short fuse to me when the local council and museum crops up in conversation 😉). But loads of virtual heritage project ideas for the next 2 years!!

Just reliving my awesome spitfire flight from a couple of weeks ago, but using the Insta 360 cockpit footage and the Vive Flow headset. Really cool .. can't wait to use this in some of our upcoming care home and hospice visits! Well, maybe everything except the Victory Roll! 😉🤢

Our faithful mannequin is back on his new mobile stretcher, smell dispenser behind, ready for some interesting new scents to evaluate. All now being integrated with our virtual A400M interior as one of four new Mixed Reality scenarios for our BATLS training project next phase!
