To better understand Pa. wild bees, 20 of our Master Gardeners have partnered with Margarita Lรณpez-Uribe, associate prof. of entomology in Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences, for bee monitoring research.
Pa. hosts 400+ species of bees.

Environmental stewardship is a year round endeavor, and few groups are as committed to this noble goal more than Bucks Countyโs Penn State Extension.
We partnered with Allegheny CleanWays and Penn State Extension Master Watershed Stewards of Allegheny County for a Spring Clean event in the East End! We had a blast working together to clear debris from our storm drains and improve the health of our waterways ๐ฆบ๐ง
Today, we collaborated with Penn State Extension & Delco Conservation District for a workshop/planting. Many thanks to the Master Watershed Stewards & Master Gardener volunteers who planted 150 live stakes of red-osier dogwood along the streambank & 15 native bushes at the trailhead.
