Very interesting post and thread by Oisín McGann - well worth reading. Children are reading diferently - he's 100% right. We need to listen to them and create original, engaging books to keep them reading.

I had a great time in Westport today. I met lots of history mad school children in Westport Library this morning and visited the beautiful TertuliaBooksWestport in the afternoon. Thanks to their children’s book club for the warm welcome. Castlebar library in the morning. Can’t wait!

I’m putting together a workshop about writing for a secondary school (teenagers). I’ll be talking about the importance of writing in my life and how it helps me reflect & stay engaged with the world, but is also a playful and fun part of my life.
