Ron Stevenson, 69, is almost completely paralysed by motor neurone disease, with a life expectancy of 6 months.

Yet DWP just told him, a terminally ill man, to reapply for his benefits, or they will stop them.

Could they be more disgustingly inhumane?

Significant that Sadiq Khan has picked up the issue of cyclist behaviour at floating bus stops - ignoring zebra crossings, travelling much too fast. A more civil and considerate culture, such as found in Copenhagen, would definitely help the cycling cause in .

heather glass The Fox ◼ Living Streets Why use such a term as conspiracies? Seems than a bit value laden? I think it is very interesting that you refuse to believe that measure that makes things dangerously worse for a significant group of people and only make things marginally better for others is a bad idea. Why?

So @tfl say Enfield Council have to request the pedestrian lights before it can initiate any action. Instead Enfield Council request & receive £339,000 from @tfl to fund a pedestrian crossing & greening of Maidstone Rd junction that is CLOSED to through traffic INSIDE the LTN✅

Hay Festival David Olusoga This resonates hard and I hope that the next Govt takes note.

I keep coming back to this article from Gary Younge written in 2019.

With reports of a huge spike in Blue thefts, it's time disabled people spoke out to tell the truth about these so called 'benefits'. The media & successive gvts have lied about what it means to be disabled for too long.

Not once in the report on bus stop bypasses commissioned by Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan is there any mention of bus stop accessibility, the Public Sector Equality Duty, Equality Impact Assessment or the chaos they have created at bus stops that is depriving real people of independent travel.

Almost 9,000 people responded to a consultation, 82% of whom were opposed to the scheme.

Many people said the LTNs had increased congestion; made journeys longer or more difficult; and impacted carers and disabled people.

The reality of LTN popularity.

Vincent Stops buses are low emission, wheelchair accessible, they “keep London moving”. So why does TfL facilitate the repurposing of bus space for bikes. Buses - accessible inclusive low emissions travel keeping the city moving and supporting walking should be prioritized.

Gerald Quinlan But cars 🥺

It's not a referendum 😠

The silent majority support LTNs 🤓

Increasing congestion & emissions is climate action 🤥

82% opposed, of 9000 respondents, reflects the loud minority 🤭

Kids (that didn't want to play in the street) wont be able to play in the street 🙄

Voi UK Fredrik Hjelm Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan It’s terrifying having rented e-scooters fly past you at speed on the pavement Northampton. The trial should have been shut down a long time ago. No thought given for blind people who need to use the pavements & how their lives are being impacted. The Standard
