The approach of new government in Serbia hasn’t change, it’s the same as before! The dogmatic approach the new gov has, doesn’t do any good, nor for Serbia or Western Ballkans! We need a progressive and real approach if we want to move forward on our europian future!

Part of my speech on today’s session. New government in Serbia has nothing new in it, unfortunately, even when it comes to approach on minority rights!

we started the meetings at the Council of Europe with E. Bičakčić - Deputy Director, H. Koneski and T.Beattie - Counselor in the Office of the CHR, M.O'Flaherty.The raising of the issue of Albanians in the P.V.represents a new phase in its treatment by the relevant institutions.

Today I also met the MEP Thijs Reuten 🇪🇺🌹 to discuss the commitment to protect the rights of Albanians in the Presheva Valley. Continued cooperation is key to achieving progress in this direction. Tomorrow we continue the advocacy in the Council of Europe!

very fruitful meeting with MEP @LukasMandl. We discussed the region and the rights of minorities. I wished him success in his re-election. Cooperation for justice and equality is essential.

The systematic discrimination against them, including the ‘passivisation’ of addresses, by Serbian Government is unacceptable and must be stopped immediately!

Shaip Kamberi

As part of my regular interactions with the Western Balkans, I had a useful meeting with Shaip Kamberi in Brussels. We discussed important topics, including human and minority rights, which are key issues in the European integration process.

Had a productive meeting with EUSR, Mr. Miroslav Lajčák where we discussed discrimination issues of Albanians in Presevo Valley, from disintegration, non recognition of 🇽🇰 diplomas to address passivization of Alb in 🇷🇸!
EU path should be the only path for all WB countries!

To be as transparent as possible, we are publishing the document with the requests we consider necessary to take the following measures, for the affirmation of the rights of Albanians in Preseva, Bujanovc and Medvegja, that we’ve submitted at the meeting with President Vucic!

Today, in Belgrade we celebrated the 16th anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence, organized by Liasion Office of 🇽🇰 in Bg🫶

In the meeting called by President Vucic,I reaffirmed our stance:“We're not seeking government positions at the state level. Our sole focus is advancing Albanian rights! “
Discrimination should stop, diplomas should be recognized. Equal treatment should start.

The need for coordination between the 🇦🇱 Embassy in Bg & the Albanian political spectrum in the Presheva Valley,to address important issues and constant discrimination is evident!
We agreed on this with the H.E. Bardhyl Canaj, on his first visit to Presheva Valley!

While Lajcak meets Serbs from🇽🇰,I,as MP representing around 100k Albanians in 🇷🇸,have repeatedly asked for a meeting to discuss discrimination issues,from disintegration to address passivization of Alb in 🇷🇸.Sadly,no positive response from Lajcak or his team. #DoubleStandards EUSR

A quick comparison!Gov of 🇽🇰 has taken new employment measure,supporting up to 2000 jobs for Serb-majority municipalities north of🇽🇰.
On the other hand,2 Albanian-majority municipalities in 🇷🇸 are amongst top most underdeveloped,with lowest income and poorest municipalities in🇷🇸.

In the last 20 years,primary school student numbers dropped 25% in 🇷🇸,but among Albanians in Presheva Valley, it's a staggering 58% decline-more than twice the national average.Alarming! This is the result of deliberately neglected minority from the gov,with active discrimination
