After an HBA/HM Treasury chat it's clear developers are far less likely to bother making an application where they're unlikely to get planning permission. With so many operating hand to mouth, the uncertain planning process can & does cause builders to go under or cease trading!

- Our sewers combine rainfall and sewage. It's been incredibly rainy. Therefore more overflows.

Whatever we do on the grid, we absolutely can’t HS2 this one. Just build the infrastructure we need, as quickly, cheaply and effectively as we can. No putting pylons across the country underground at vast expense to appease the NIMBYs.
