In 2023 I was asked to give a lecture at the Wallace Stegner Symposium about the Great Salt Lake at the University of Utah.
The University of Utah Press selected a few for publishing. I am so grateful mine was one of them🙏

Typically don't shout out any followers specifically on this website but I was watching the 'Temples Dot The Land' special on KSL's YouTube channel and a thought came to me: 'I think he follows me on Twitter!'
Sure enough Darren Parry does indeed follow me!

I am willing to bet that my day was better than yours. I spent the afternoon with Terry Tempest Williams and her Harvard Divinity class at the Bear River Massacre Site. I wish I could explain the feelings of love that existed there today. It was special.
