I was diagnosed with cancer in April. Unfortunately, chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy couldn’t tame this, and my medical team is now focused on keeping me comfortable while I spend the last chapter of my life with my partner, family, and friends. 1/4

I do not agree because I am surprised this statement is not considering the human side of things: finding the right lab environment for you, avoiding toxic labs and PIs... etc.. It will become a life-long relationship. Rotations aren't about learning how to do X, Y, Z techniques.
