Emily Shaffer, DO Sanjay Mukhopadhyay I think this is the best way. Discuss with them early, give chance and way to improve. Either way it then still goes in eval - but now there is a chance to comment on the improvement, rather than dooming someone to failure.
Sanjay Mukhopadhyay I’m sorry to intervene as I’m not a faculty, but I like the question & as a resident I would love to hear from the faculty & read in my eval that I did a good job 😊.
Sanjay Mukhopadhyay Women *esp* need to establish this expectation upfront & be ⬆️ active in holding others to the standard. We are already ⬆️ likely to be introduced in prof spaces by first names w/o our titles
Normalizing use of appropriate titles for ALL genders= teaching/modeling professionalism
