Colour Run 2024!

Our Colour Run today has been a fantastic celebration! Every pupil at St Joseph’s is unique and special and the Colour Run has helped all to feel a sense of identity and belonging to our wonderful school community. Thank you to all involved in making today such a success!

Thank you to David from #AnimalZoneUK for a fantastic day of workshops in Year 1, 2 and 6. #STJYear6 had a brilliant time learning all about the creatures of the rainforest and experiencing a hands-on session to finish up our domain.

A busy couple of weeks in #STJYear6 with outdoor learning, the Stations of the Resurrection service and an excellent time with Crucial Crew last week. This week, we've had Mass and exploring the church with our cherubs, a great #UNCRC session from Vale Youth Service and lots more fun!

#STJYear5 had a busy Monday planting lettuce🥬and sweet corn 🌽in our new polytunnel. We also created spiral ascension prayers in our class Gweddiwn 🙏

Is has been a great week in school for #STJYear6 , finished off with a brilliant day at #BarryIsland beach for the Vale Sports Team||Tim Chwaraeon y Fro multi-sports, cricket and boccia day! We had loads of fun, enjoyed a wide range of sports & share some fun time playing together in the sunshine too!

It was great to welcome 4 former pupils back to #STJYear6 today along with Mrs. Brewer from Stanwell_School for a wonderful session together learning more about the transition to Year 7. We are extremely grateful for all of the advice and encouragement they brought. #Transitions

A very successful working week in #STJYear6 , sharing our own legends, completing discipleship presentations and more. We also had Vic from Size of Wales | Maint Cymru giving us an excellent workshop on the rainforests and learning about the benefits of agroforestry. Gweddiwn today too.

A very special time for #STJYear6 in the lead up to Holy Week. Our #MaundyThursday liturgy was very poignant yesterday and we have walked the stations of the cross today with Year 4 and 5. We’ve made cards today, too. Now, the excellent PC Alex is here for a #Schoolbeat session.

#STJYear6 took part in a Stained-Glass Window Workshop with Christian Ryan. We explored the stages of making a window and the techniques involved from the cartoon to the cutting, painting and fixing with lead. We even got to cut the glass! Diolch yn fawr Mr Ryan ⭐️🌟

It's been a great day in #STJYear6 ! Day 1 of our cycling training, lots of hard work and many passing L1 already! For those who passed L1, training for L2 will be over the next few days. Meanwhile, a chance for others to grow in confidence outside school for a second shot at L1.

We've had a very exciting week in #STJYear6 ! The highlights were outdoor learning on Monday and the end of our Energy Domain express and create task making energy conversion devices that solve problems. We also shared our own Pip and Egg stories with our cherubs in Reception.
