Pay for highest paid/most skilled public sector workers (doctors, experienced teachers etc) has been cut drastically. Public sector diverging ever further from private sector. Papering over the cracks by bringing in more from abroad. Not sustainable.

The three top reasons for dissatisfaction with the NHS were waiting times for GP or hospital appointments, staff shortages and #NHS funding. These have been consistent reasons for dissatisfaction since 2015.

Despite these decreasing levels of satisfaction, public support for the founding principles of the #NHS is as strong as ever.

Additionally, nearly half of the public would support increasing taxes to spend more on the #NHS . People in higher income households are significantly more likely to support this.

It's not only the #NHS overall that has been affected by low levels of satisfaction. Satisfaction is low for individual NHS and for #SocialCare services, with satisfaction for social care services at just 13%.

Good to speak to Justin Webb BBC Radio 4 Today about NHS public satisfaction findings this morning. In 2010, public satisfaction was 70%, now its 24%. People care about the NHS and want it to work. Food for thought for politicians on all sides as we approach a general election.
