This is a good talk in general, but sad we still feel HTTP is required not only for backward compatibility but forward looking progress. HTTP is simply the wrong tool when connecting things in a dynamic, global, multi-cloud and edge dominated world. It brings in way too much

After digging into how Kafka works, it is not surprising that NATS.io (JetStream) has become so popular for service-to-service communication. Nats is more powerful in message routing and is much easier to understand. Kafka seems like a good option for building raw data

Nice, using NATS.io key-value store to overcome the challenge of stateful processing in distributed environments where there is no intrinsic state

Jens Neuse | Founder @ WunderGraph Synadia NATS is such a wonderful piece of software. With Jetstream it is a real alternative to Kafka. We used it in a project for building a lightweight EventStore for Event Sourcing. Its lightweight nature was a great experience. It's awesome to see that Cosmo is utilizing it!

Synadia is running a short survey on exploring the idea of enabling users having their own self-hosted NATS.io clusters to connect into Synadia Cloud, enabling the ability to leverage all it has to offer!
