“It made my first experience of university one of respect, dignity & genuine excitement.
Jon had a challenging home life and became estranged from their parents as a teenager. With support from our UofG Widening Participation team Jon became a UofG student.

.@MiaBurleigh8 left school at 16 with no qualifications and returned to education, via college, a decade later. Mia went on to achieve First Class Honours and a PhD at UWS before becoming a lecturer.
