CWs first 3 albums are as good as anyone’s and all 3 sound that little bit different. Ferment is a beast of an album, shoegaze heaven with riffs galore….FFS 🤦🏻‍♂️ I thought I had my 5 sorted !!

R.E.M. - Automatic For The People (1992)

An era-defining album! I was so excited for the new record. I remember hearing those delicate opening melancholic chords of ‘Drive’ and being blown away by the build up of strings and loud fuzzy guitars! youtu.be/-UE7tXDKIus

I's no secret that there's a lot more to some songs than meets the eye. Some have hidden meanings, while others are so deeply personal to the songwriter that the average listener couldn't possibly hope to understand.
