I've just heard the old 1984 rap track 'White Lines' playing on 6Music. At the time, I remember not a single person realised it was about HARD DRUGS! Not the public, not the DJs, not Duran Duran, not even Melle Mel!
You'd never get away with playing it on national radio today!

Despite working for 6Music yesterday I wasn't producing any on air shows for their 'Deep Dive' into 1989 celebrating The Cure's album 'Disintergration' so had no control over their playlist so glad to rectify a glaring omission ASAP today!
