With British Youth Council’s collapse, it’s now more important than ever that the UK youth sector maintains access to high-level bodies such as these. 🇬🇧🇪🇺

After the sudden and incredibly sad news that the British Youth Council has closed with immediate effect, including the sudden cancellation of upcoming YouthCon events, we know that (1/)
Youth voice is critical to a properly functioning democracy and it seems the spaces we can have a voice are diminishing. Thank you to British Youth Council who I’ve had the joy in working with through the NHS Youth Forum and for their support in our successful first aid in schools campaign.

Incredibly sad to hear British Youth Council will be ceasing operations.
For 75 years, BYC has provided a platform for expanding opportunities and amplifying the voices of young people including St John Ambulance England cadets.

Youth participation in shaping sport, and other, organisations is vital for democratic societies. At our last Committee meetingwe also discussed the recent closure of the British Youth Council British Youth Council which was forced to close its doors due to lack of funding.
