Long Point may not have the fame & notoriety of Point Pelee, but it can be just as magical during migration. Our Eagle-Eye Tours group was not disappointed during our two-day visit, and especially exciting after a strong arrival of new birds.

The last stop for our Eagle-Eye Tours adventure in southern Ontario was Algonquin Provincial Park - and it never disappoints. This enclave of boreal forest was a blast to explore :) 1/2

This Henslow's Sparrow was a hands-down (or maybe 'in-hand'?) highlight for our Eagle-Eye Tours group at Long Point Bird Obs.. Scarce in Ontario, this was the first one banded here in ~30 years - a surprise find and very cool to see up close & personal!

Tadoussac in spring is quickly climbing my list of 'must-do' birding destinations. Amazing! #ExploreCanada
Highlights of our time in Algonquin Park included seven moose, a very obliging Spruce Grouse, Canada Jay, Black-backed Woodpecker, Evening Grosbeak and so much more. And the scenery is outstanding! 2/2

It was a special treat to spend time at the Old Cut banding station during a very busy morning, with a diversity of species 'in the hand'.
Of course, it's always fun to see friends like Stu Mackenzie and Ernesto Carman along the way!
