Anytime a supporter claims this new tax increase will make an impact towards reducing homelessness show them this.

As San Francisco has increased its homelessness budget, the number of homeless people has grown with it.

following Today’s ruling restoring Bring Chicago Home to the ballot, you’re likely to hear a flurry of misinformation as the 1% panic

but the math doesn’t lie: every property under $1,120,000 in Chicago will receive a tax break by Voting Yes on

I’m voting yes to because everyone in Chicago deserves housing. We can make those who can afford it pay a little more—once—give the other 93% of us a tax break AND house people. Vote yes on Ballot Question 1 on Tuesday March 19th

'How do I vote YES on the ballot measure to Bring Chicago Home?'
Go to the bottom of your ballot, after all of the judges. It will be the first ballot question. The language will be long and only mention housing and homelessness at the very end.

failed despite having a far superior ground game. Why?

1. Brandon/CTU supported it - both unpopular/greedy.

2. BCH lied. There aren't 68K homeless & plan for spending $ was vague.

3. It was a tax on renters. I think voters understood that.

is almost certainly going to pass. At least 2020's proposed progressive income tax would've affected wealthier individuals.

Bring Chicago Home will make apartments more expensive for lower income folks. But since it's being called a 'mansion tax,' it will pass.

On the bright side, CPS - Chicago Public Schools students learned a couple of valuable lessons:

1) How to lose with dignity. 😒

2) Rallying for a cause doesn’t always result in their desired outcome.

Next time, stay in school.
