At first, I didn't understand the situation much with the near-controversy with the #CPT2023 format but then I realise with the minimum amount of offline events we'd have compared to online, it'd defeats the purpose. I didn't like it tbh. Rather play & meet players irl.

So I'm very happy to see Capcom making vast majority of #CPT2023 online events, just like #CPT2022 was. The world is NOT the same place it was even just a few years ago. Traveling can be a HUGE barrier. Capcom wants as many people as engaged wtih #SF6 as possible!!

If there are five OPEN tournaments in each region, doesn’t that mean anybody can enter those five tournaments?

And if you finish in the top 8 of the “local” leaderboard you would qualify for the regional finals?
