On Sunday our #interns had the chance to conduct a #linetransectsurvey in #CardiganBay . Here they had the most amazing #encounter with 18 #BottlenoseDolphins as well as two other smaller #pod encounters later in the day! We even think we were joined by a #mother and #calf !

We successfully deployed 18 baited remote underwater video systems ( #BRUVS ) in #CardiganBay , North Wales. Footage gathered will be used to improve our understanding of species living in Welsh waters π
Our second group of #interns out on the boats #Surveying #CardiganBay last week spotted four pods of #Bottlenose #dolphins , including one newborn calf and one juvenile!
We have the correct permission, licence, and training to get this close to dolphins for photo ID purposes.
