As I expected the Mournes to be a little overcrowded today, I took a walk locally and enjoyed views of Slieve Croob, the Hinch drumlins and of course the Mournes in pleasantly unpeopled surroundings.

After the coldest night in so far, there's no shortage of frost and sullen plants for . Yet tender Curviflora is unbowed! I hesitated to buy a Barbie pink plant but my word I'm glad I did.

A quick walk this morning down Windy Gap Pad tp Legananny Road and on to Dolmen Road. A quick peek at the dolmen, today without its Mourne Mountain background, and a return by the same route to the car park at Windy Gap. About 6km with a few small detours.
