The transferral of the #CostOfDisability back onto the disabled person who tries to work is a huge barrier in the precarious competitive world of self-employment & entrepreneurship. It means PWD must first earn 10,000e approx for disability cost before business costs. Dr Tom Clonan
TRUE but work should not cost us - when accepting work means we risk/lose disability supports like the medical card then we literally cannot afford to work. Ref INDECON #CostofDisability Report of over €10,000 a year. Meeting disability cost=prerequisite to being able to work.
Looking forward to reading this important paper. People unable to work due to disability are most likely to be unable to afford to keep their home warm - 1 in 5 last year.
