It's difficult to understand why NY is refusing to pursue hundreds of millions in federal funding for #Coverage4All & other healthcare since the federal gov't gave us the green light. There are too many tough choices to make to leave this significant pool of money off the table.

Last June we pushed locally and nationally to expand healthcare access to immigrants. Today, the Biden admin just expanded access to DACA recipients for 100,000 people! We’re fighting for our communities and winning! #Coverage4All !

Let's make the math math. We want to save money in our state budget, ok. We want to ensure our hospitals are paid, ok.
Then there is NO reason why we can't pass #Coverage4All using federal dollars to provide life-saving healthcare to undocumented New Yorkers AND save millions!
Immigrant NYers are core to the NYS' fabric and NY must ensure we can all thrive together.
That is why the final NYS Budget must include:

🏘️$250M for Housing Access Voucher Program

Making cuts to our health system after COVID-19 would be irresponsible. I’m proud the NY Assembly Majority has rejected Medicaid cuts in our one-house. We pay for it with revenue raisers.
