Deep Space Station 43 was transmitting to this morning, as part of the process to re-establish contact with the spacecraft.
20 billion kms from Earth, the round-trip time for the radio signal will take nearly 37 hours to reach Voyager 2 and get home again. 📡〰️🛰️

, the 70-m antenna at the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex, is the largest steerable parabolic antenna in the Southern Hemisphere. It's the only device that can 'hear' now. Its center cone is ~5 stories high.

Según el último SFOS, ayer se le enviaron nuevos comandos a la sonda usando la antena DSS43 de CanberraDSN 📡.
La novedad en esta ocasión es que se han enviado un total de 11 secuencias al ordenador central CCS
(sigue) 👇

While the 70-metre antenna, Deep Space Station 43 is offline for upgrades, we can use the combined capacity of two 34-metre dishes & to receive the signal/data from NASA Voyager-2 which is nearly 20 billion kilometres from Earth.📡📡 bit.ly/DSNnow
